This is going to be a lot of fun. I met Stefan back in 2012 when we sang Tannhauser together in the Real. Always said we'd do a concert together, so after 6 years, we've finally arranged it. We've chosen a C19th French programe to celebrate Gounod's 200th birthday.

Round Table at the ICADE University

My next performance with the ACSE will be next Weds as part of a presentation of the works of the poet, Carlos Alvarez. Another first performance of a wonderful work by Francisco Otero, ACSE's president. I am SO lucky to be able to perform these incredible peices for the first time and in the presence of the composer.

In February I performed another beautiful concert with Transbaroque as part of the 'Música y Mistica' series in the Cristo de Olivares church in Central Madrid. We had a tremendous audience with people sitting on the altar steps and in the aisles, as it was so full.
An example of one of the peices can be heard here on Soundcloud:

Truro Male Choir Anniversary Celebration

I have sung as a soloist with the Truro Male Choir since I was 14 and have shared many special moments with them - trips, weddings and funerals. I'm very happy to be a vice president and on October 5 was invited to join them in their 75 year celebrations. Such a lovely, memorable evening.

Carta a Dulcinea, Alejandro Yagüe

So sorry to hear of the passing of composer, Alejandro Yagüe, one of the great composers of his generation, musicologist and passionate promoter of music in his beloved city of Burgos.
The pianist, Adrian Cardeñoso and myself performed this song, Carta a Dulcinea earlier in the year, as part of the Mil Caras de Dulcinea Festival.  Click on the title above to hear it on Soundcloud.

A sad time, having to say Goodbye to my dear friend and singing partner, Kevin Potton. I still can't come to terms with him leaving us so suddenly: Kevin lost his life in a motor accident on July 1st.
Kevin was one of the most talented, generous, funny and loyal friends that I had the privilege to know. Rest in peace, Kevin. All in the April Evening with Kevin and Ramon Gil, piano.

Continuing my adventure with Transbaroque in Holy week. An exciting programme of Henry Purcell. Five performances of this glorious music in the company of lovely talented people.

February and March were spent preparing these beautiful programmes. Under the directorship of Stephen Knight, Transbaroque perform lesser known works of the Baroque period in churches throughout Madrid, often adding interesting twists with lighting effects, costumes and choreography. I love working with this group!
