Continuing with Christmas frivolity, I've been playing the piano at a number of private parties over the Season. It's very promising to think that perhaps the tradition of carol singing may not be completely dead. The guests at these parties were pleasantly surprised and joined in the carols and songs with great enthusiasm, armed with tambourines and plenty of wine!
Merry Christmas all!
A lot happened since I last wrote on my blog. I just love the musical build up to Christmas! It started with the Madrid International Community Choir inauguration concert at the Swiss Club in Alcobendas, a great venue, lovely drinks and tapas and enthusiastic, supportive audience.

Kevin and I also gave a short performance of our Waxing Lyrical Christmas show. Here's a snippet:

Great fun last night singing Irish and Cornish songs at the Irish Embassy in Madrid with the grand maestro, Rupert Damerell at the piano. A farewell party for our Irish Ambassador, Jason and his wife, Carmen. Sorry to see them go - they have done so much to support culture in Spain and are really fun and down to earth.
