re: Music from the court of Louis XIV

Golly,in May already. I'm rubbish at keeping up this blog thing. Well, I have been busy with studies, rehearsals, my community Choir and now there are some very exciting concerts coming up.....
Tomorrow, with the group Transbaroque, we start a series of concerts of music from the court of Louis XIV. Great stuff to tap your feet to.

Hello All. I'm having a busy time with various Contemporary music concerts. After a rather intimate but hugely enjoyable evening in the Casa de Valencia with the group ACSE, we will be continuing our season with a performance in the University of ACADE next Wednesday the 4th of March. The performance is programmed as part of a 'round table' organised by the group PACTHUM.

I am also thrilled to be participating in a concert this Saturday the 28th of February at 12.00 o'clock in the Centro de Bellas Artes de San Fernando, Calle Alcala 17.
The concert features new works by young Spanish composers and includes ballerinas and the Rubik Ensemble. Free admission.

Continuing with Christmas frivolity, I've been playing the piano at a number of private parties over the Season. It's very promising to think that perhaps the tradition of carol singing may not be completely dead. The guests at these parties were pleasantly surprised and joined in the carols and songs with great enthusiasm, armed with tambourines and plenty of wine!
